About Us

Chapter History

The Zeta Delta chapter of Gamma Phi Beta was founded at Southeast Missouri State University on November 5,1994. We locally adopted pink and white as our colors on top of the national Gamma Phi Beta colors- brown and mode.

National History

Gamma Phi Beta was the ‘first’ sorority and was founded on November 11, 1874 at Syracruse University. Our four founders are Helen M.Dodge, Frances E. Haven, E.Adeline Curtis, and Mary A.Bingham. The mission statement for Gamma Phi Beta is to “promote the highest type of womanhood”. We do this by living through our four core values- love, labor, learning, and loyalty.
